About the Author:
Both Jordan L. Linfield and Joseph Krevisky learned about life and language in the neighborhoods and schools of New York City, in the United States Army, and in graduate schools at leading universities. Linfield and Krevisky have held senior editorial positions at major publishing houses. Linfield has taught for more than 15 years in the City University system and Krevisky was for many years the principal of a leading alternative New York City high school. Among their books are The Bad Spellers' Dictionary and Word Traps. They have also contributed to the Webster's Universal Unabridged Dictionary.
