From Booklist:
This potentially invaluable guide for the well-traveled sports fan offers tours of the stadiums and arenas used by teams in the four major sports: football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. Each section includes a detailed diagram of the facility (color coded to indicate pricing), contact information for tickets, a subjective guide to good seats, access routes, and tips on stadium cuisine, nearby lodging, and local media outlets. Interestingly, there's no double-dipping here: for example, Boston Garden, home of the basketball Celtics and hockey Bruins, is covered twice, and the information--other than obvious similarities such as address and nearby parking facilities--is unique to each section. The text is also up to date. When profiling the baseball Padres and Jack Murphy Stadium, the authors advise that traffic congestion is a potential problem, but since the team is bad and doesn't draw, one has quick access to two interstates after the game. Readable, well-organized, and accurate, the book delivers what it promises. Wes Lukowsky
