About the Author:
Jeremy Strong once worked in a bakery, putting the jam into three thousand doughnuts every night. Now he puts the jam into stories instead, which he finds much more exciting. He loves writing stories because it's 'the only time you alone have complete control and can make anything happen'. His ambition is to make you laugh (or at least snuffle). Jeremy Strong lives near Bath with his wife, Gillie, four cats and a flying cow.
From AudioFile:
Sennapod, an Egyptian pharaoh, awakens from his long sleep cursing the grave robbers who are after his treasure. Eventually he finds help with the Lightspeed family. Beach delivers Sennapod's stately speech with deep, commanding tones that befit his royal status and contrast with the silly predicaments he creates. Grimstone, the chief villain, is aptly characterized with a harsh, determined voice. Professor Jelly, the assistant villain, has a slightly foolish, high-pitched voice, making him barely a threat and gently amusing. Timing the dialogue and lines expertly, Beach makes good use of the humor in the text. Youngsters are sure to smile at the shenanigans. P.A.J. (c)AudioFile, Portland, Maine
