About the Author:
Amy J. Alessio is the Teen Coordinator at Schaumburg Township District Library in Illinois. She writes and edits fiction and nonfiction, including the previous title co-authored with Kim Patton, A Year of Programs for Teens. Amy reviews young adult literature and mysteries for Crimespree Magazine and Teenreads.com. Amy served two terms on the YALSA Board of Directors, and was honored in 2006 with the Illinois Library Association Davis Cup Award for librarians serving youth. Kimberly A. Patton is the Teen Librarian at the Kansas City Public Library Central Resource Branch in Kansas City, MO. Before moving to the KC Library, she was the Young Adult Specialist at the Lawrence (KS) Public Library. She graduated from Baker University with a B.A. in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Management. A 2007 Spectrum Scholar, she is currently pursuing a Master s of Library and Information Science from Florida State University. She is the 2010 President of the Young Adult Library Services Association, (YALSA).
