From School Library Journal:
Grade 5-9-- Sunday Moon Fairchild, 14, has lived with her widowed father since she was very young, and she is sure that she'll never have to share his attention or love with anyone. Thus, she's bewildered and devastated when he tells her that she will have a stepmother and four-year-old stepsister in only a few weeks. Forced to move to her stepmother's condo with her stepsister and housekeeper, Sunday feverishly returns to her old neighborhood, intent on living in her old home alone. However, she soon realizes that her life is making a U-turn, and that maybe living with Marcie and Amy won't be that bad. Hunter's first-person narrative has well-defined scenes, moods, and characters that will help readers empathize with the protagonist as well as the minor characters. She competently takes readers step by step along with Sunday as she desperately deals with learning how to share. A memorable book that could easily stand tall next to any of Judy Blume's stories. --Naomi Carlson, Fayette County Public Schools, Lexington, KY
