A streetcar - riding horse, a petrified man, a three-acre castle made of ice, and the hermit of Pat's Hole are all as much of Colorado history as its ghost towns, mines, ranches and railroads. It took the imagination of its ambitious people to cope with hard frontier living. This led to a fertile setting for some great events such as the kidnapping of Judge Stone, Captain Sam's attempt to sail to the Pacific, a horse killed by alien invaders and the construction of Colorado's lightning lab.
