About the Author:
Author Barbara Whitaker has been traveling with her dogs for more than 25 years. These days, she and her husband Linn are joined by traveling companion and "cover-dog" Ginger, who posed for the whimsical artwork on the cover and within the pages of this guidebook.
Ms. Whitaker shares a wealth of the solutions to dog travel dilemmas that she has collected on her own travels and in her extensive research into the works of prominent dog trainers, veterinarians and other experts on dog care and behavior.
Before launching the Have Dog Will Travel book series, Ms. Whitaker specialized in technical support for computer users and the writing of software user guides. Now she says, "Writing about traveling with my dog is WAY more fun!"
