When More Big Were Little Kids is the sequel to the recently published "When Big Artists Were Little Kids" and introduces kids to the great artists of history. These are Greg Constantine's attempt to recall his own beginnings as a creative person imagining how famous artists and architects may have started out. He remembers filling all his school workbooks with drawings of sports, airplanes, cars and fighting soldiers. This became such a problem that pencils and paper were taken from him in order to focus attention on the necessary academic subjects. Art not only survived in his life, but prospered in his pursuit to express his vision. Most artists and architects have passed through a measure of this experience, ultimately making them stronger and more determined to follow their obsession. Constantine has used some actual biographical incidents from many of these architects' early lives attempting to reveal logical parallels that make a connection to their well-known mature work. THE ARTISTS Edward Hopper, Giuseppi Arcimboldo, Artemisia Gentileschi Pieter Bruegel, Alexander Calder, Mary Cassatt, Joseph Cornell, Willem deKooning, Alberto Giacometti, Giotto di Bondone, Frieda Kahlo, Rembrandt van Rijn, Norman Rockwell, Henri Rousseau, Roy Lichtenstein, George Segal, Jean Tingueley.
