Never have I recall our country being so divided both politically and psychologically as it is today. One of the driving forces in pulling us apart is the news media. Armed with the freedoms needed to be a watchdog of government on behalf of the people, the media has instead become biased and a part of the problem, thus harming our democracy. The division among us has reached a tipping point and needs to be toned down. This book reminds us of the need of, the power of and the benefits of "Practicing Tolerance," and offers some practicing ideas for demonstrating tolerance in all areas of life. It also reminds us that tolerance helped us through a difficult past, and gives us hope that history can repeat itself today.
