Debbie has been a classroom teacher grades K-8, a Title 1 reading and math teacher and a reading coach over the past 28 years. She lives on a farm in southern Oregon with her husband, son, dog and numerous cats. Laurie Danley, who considers herself to have been destined from birth to be a teacher, has lived and worked in such diverse places as Guam, Whidbey Island and Oregon. She won a national teaching award for her long-term work with salmon recovery and wetland research, and she delights in kids who struggle, multi-age groups, team teaching, following student classes for several years, as well as working traditional elementary settings. She is a backpacker, dog lover, knitting nut, cooking fanatic and a self-confessed outdoor techno gear head.
