Poetry Playground: An Activity Book for Young Children - Softcover

Sheila Grimes Hawley found great inspiration as a classroom teacher for over 30 years, teaching children as young as 3 and as old as 14. After attending The Summer Institute for The Favorite Poem Project at Boston University, she created Bridges Over Time, a program which galvanized fourth graders and seniors in the community to work together to explore how poetry connects the generations. She now facilitates the New Hartford Public Schools Poet Laureate Projects in New Hartford, CT, which champions local charities by producing poetry books for and by children and community members.
