From Booklist:
This illustrated how-to paperback offers instructions for constructing 20 projects, the majority of which are built from wood. Some of them can be built in a day, and many require only basic hand tools. The book is aimed at woodworkers with an interest in gardening and at gardeners who have some carpentry skills. The projects include a bentwood trellis, an obelisk, a pergola, a rose arbor, a garden stool, a garden bench, a picnic table, and a covered seat. Under the heading of "Garden Ornaments" are a pinecone birdhouse, wind chimes, a kneeling stool, a potting bench, and a garden shower (for showering outside). A toolbox, a window box, a cedar planter, a garden cart, and a garden gate are listed under "Containers and Enclosures." There are also instructions on building a garden house and a potting shed, the two most complex projects. Along with step-by-step instructions, each project includes a list of the materials needed, shop drawings, and an illustration of the finished project. Some of the projects include color photographs.
