Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1963, David Collier's first strip was published in Robert Crumb's Weirdo when he was 23. His strips have appeared in various newspapers, magazines, and anthologies including Zero Zero and Drawn & Quarterly, but they have since been collected in two Drawn & Quarterly volumes. 1998 saw Just the Facts: A Decade of Comics Essays, followed in 2001 by Portraits From Life. David Collier has lived nearly everywhere across Canada but now calls Hamilton, Ontario home where he lives with his wife and young son.
