Streeter, author of "Denatured Africa" with 48 illustrations by (Unknown). This book is in Very Good + condition, with no DJ. It has dark red cloth binding with text in gilt on both the front cover and spine. Has slight edge and spine wear, very light fading, mostly to one spot in front and spine. Inside end papers are illustrated with a hand type drawing of a map with many locations noted with text on each one. Also has the following: "So Geographers, in Afric Maps With Savage pictures fill the gaps, and O'er unhabitable downs Place Elephants for want of towns, Dean Smith". Has the path (Presumed path taken in book) outlined in red, and a very small book plate of about 1" x 1" which reads "The New book Library 68 E. Broad St. Columbus Ohio". There is very light foxing on some of the papers, Frontispiece is a black and white photo with a terribly thin man with only a turban and a cloth over the middle of him, sitting down near a structure of some kind with a cup of Rice? The text beneath it reads "A Sudanese Galahad - Enough of his physique to explain his inertia". Tissue is intact, though the very top of frontispiece page and tissue page have a very slight bleed of red on the very top, presumably from the red cloth of the book. Copyright page has this listed as "Fourth Impression, October, 1927". Next there is a Preface, a Table of contents, and a full list of illustrations as well. Overall this is a clean and tightly bound copy.
