Condition: used. François d'Albignac - Original 1947 Graphite Drawing. Signed. In fine condition.François d' Albignac was born in 1903 and a member of the distinguished dâ Albignac family. He was a student of Pierre Seguin at the School of Decorative Arts, Paris (Les Arts Decoratifs) between 1921 and 1925, winning various medals. He later moved out of the city to the Versailles area. His work observes the major stylistic and social changes of the era in France, particularly those of â Les AnnĂ es Follesâ [The Golden Twenties]: the fashions and music halls and the glamourous side of Paris in the early-twentieth century. His works include various designs for posters On moving to Versailles, he became interested in depicting rural life â " from village scenes to opulent chateaus. A posthumous exhibition of his work was shown at Le CarrĂ Ă La Farine, Versailles in 1993. Size: Medium (15-30cm) Framed: No Style: Impressionism.
