The front pastedown of the book had what appeared to be a former owner's signature which has been scratched off. A Fine book in a Fine dust wrapper. The penultimate novel to feature the duo, Bertie and Jeeves, and the fourteenth book about Jeeves. Jeeves saves Bertie again in his misadventures. Also goes by the British title, Much, Obliged, Jeeves. The American and British editions of the book have slightly different endings. Excerpt from front and back flaps of the dust wrapper: "A brief glimpse of the basic plot. Jeeves belongs to a club for butlers in London's fashionable West End, and one of the rules there is that every member must contribute to the club book everything about the fellow he's working for, the idea being that such information will help those seeking new employment. If a member is contemplating signing up with someone, he looks him up in the club book, and if he finds that he puts out crumbs for the birdies every morning and repeatedly saves golden-haired children from being run over by automobiles, he knows he is on a good thing. Whereas if the book informs him that the fellow habitually kicks starving dogs and throws his breakfast at his personal attendant, he is warned in time to steer clear. Some dull employers are given only a few lines in the club book, but Jeeves has penned eighteen pages about his employer, Bertie Wooster. And Bertie, quite understandably, is perturbed. Suppose the book falls into unscrupulous hands? The imagination boggles. Needless to say, that is exactly what does happen .".

First published in the United Kingdom on 15 October 1971 by Barrie & Jenkins, London, as Much Obliged, Jeeves and in the United States on 15 October 1971 by Simon & Schuster, Inc., New York under the name Jeeves and the Tie That Binds is a comic novel by P. G. Wodehouse. The two editions have slightly different endings. Wodehouse's American editor gave the US edition its title and rewrote the last page, adding Jeeves' disclosure about the eighteen pages from the Junior Ganymede Club Book, and his expressed desire to remain permanently in Wooster's employment. Written only a few years before his death, Jeeves and the Tie that Binds is the second-to-last appearance of Wodehouse's characters, Jeeves and Bertie Wooster (the last being Aunts Aren't Gentlemen (1974)). It forms the fourth and final installment of the Totleigh Towers saga, though it actually takes place at Brinkley Court, the home of Bertie's Aunt Dahlia, near the town of Market Snodsbury.
